Caloundra is only 91 kilometers from Brisbane through Bruce Highway and when driving north from the Gold Coast arriving in Caloundra only takes two hours. What makes the town an even more accessible spot is its distance from Brisbane International and Domestic Airports which are only an hour drive from the south Caloundra. There is also the Sunshine Coast Airport which is only thirty five minutes away from north Caloundra. Caloundra is noted among beach and sun lovers for its average daily sunshine level of seven hours and beautiful, calming beaches. Both residents and tourists enjoy a wide range of outdoor water recreational activities such as boating, kite surfing, wind surfing, and fishing. Normal temperature during sunny days ranges from 20 degrees Celsius to 28 degrees Celsius. On winter days temperature usually ranges between ten degree to twenty degrees Celcius.
